Kind of caught me off guard. I was able to download the XP drivers for this computer from the Gateway support site and updated the BIOS with them and it still just shows "" in that list. If the installer cannot locate a hard drive, it cannot install the XP operating system. I am not able to install Windows XP OS CD. have a peek here

Hmmm, I guess I thought too soon; SATA drives are apparently not supported by the Windows XP installer.
