With it being a custom build, I'd say firstly to reseat all your hardware and connections again (take them out, put them back in again firmly). I think that this does exclude the hdd or the burned iso dvd as being the issue though.I also put in a linux dvd, and booted from linux live thinking that did you ever find the issue?
