Nows what I'm confused with! Windows may boot normally for a few days, then one day it stops after the HP logo, black screen with the white _ cursor at the top left. If no stick works, try a different RAM slot. My friends agree with you 100% They are heavy gamers and have a loveéhate relationship wioth NVIDIA graphics cards.

Realizing that it would not shut down, I unplugged it, and let the battery run down.So the machine sat for about 2 hours. I have been searching for answers on the problem and had to borrow my friends Laptop because I could not last any longer. Vista update was performed.4. Then finally just shut it off.
